Evangelia Karasmanaki holds a PhD in Environmental Science (from the Department of Forestry and Management of the Environment and Natural Resources of the Democritus University of Thrace). Her doctoral thesis is titled \u201cDecision making model for investments in renewable energy \u2013 Satisfaction level and the attitude of investors and relevant stakeholders.\u201d During her doctoral studies and her participation in research programs, she had the opportunity to gain substantial experience in the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research and develop her skills in data analysis. Throughout her doctoral studies, she was a teaching assistant for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She has also received two compensatory scholarships for providing teaching support in addition to the main lectures for courses: \u201cForest Policy II\u201d, \u201cForest Law\u201d \u201cEnvironmental Communication \u2013 Environmental interpretation\u201d.<\/p>\n

She has published articles in scientific journals and proceedings of international conferences as well as chapters in volumes and books and has also served as reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals and as Guest editor for a special issue.<\/p>\n

Her research interests lie in the areas of Environmental Policy, Energy Policy, Environmental Communication, Renewable Energy, Social Acceptance of Renewable Energy and Energy saving.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
