Anastasia Paschalidou is an Associate Professor in Atmospheric Pollution Meteorology in the Department of Forestry and Management of the Environment and Natural Resources at Democritus University of Thrace. She holds a BA degrees in Physics (University of Ioannina), an MSc in Meteorology-Climatology and a PhD (Laboratory of Meteorology, Department of Physics, University of Ioannina). Her research interests lie in the fields of biometeorology, bioclimatology, concise climatology, climate change, air pollution and environmental epidemiology. She has participated in a number of national and European research programs and has led research groups in Meteorology and Air Pollution. She has served as a member of the Management Committee of 3 COST actions. She is the author of more than 100 publications, including articles in international peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and chapters in collective volumes (h-index=17).  She is the author of two books (“Climate Change” Tziola Publications, “Atmospheric Physics Courses” Kallipos) and is a member of the International Society of Biometeorology, the Hellenic Meteorological Society and the IBM Academic Initiative.
